Help Lily fight for the chance to move, communicate, and dance again.

Lily was only two and a half and loved nothing more than to dance when her family’s world changed.

After weeks of vomiting, loss of appetite, and increasing distress, her parents, Sabrina and Rhys, repeatedly sought medical help. Then Lily suffered a seizure and stopped breathing.

An emergency scan revealed an ependymoma brain tumour that had caused dangerously high pressure inside her skull. She was rushed into brain surgery to remove the tumour and save her life.

The tumour was removed, but Lily had suffered a severe hypoxic-ischemic brain injury. When she woke, she could no longer breathe independently, swallow, track with her eyes, or move her arms and legs.

Since then, her family has dedicated itself to rehabilitation. According to their published fundraiser, Lily is now smiling, giggling, recognising her family, and continuing to make meaningful progress through specialised neurological therapy.

The family is now pursuing another stage of care. Their fundraiser describes a plan for six rounds of MUSE stem cell treatment combined with approximately three months of intensive neurological rehabilitation. The family says this option was selected with Lily’s previous brain tumour history in mind.

The treatment and rehabilitation are not covered by insurance, creating a significant financial burden. Funds are intended to help with the planned treatment, specialised neuro-rehabilitation, treatment-related travel, and other necessary expenses.

For Sabrina, Rhys, and Lily’s sister Violet, the hope is simple: to give Lily every possible opportunity to regain movement and function, reconnect more fully with the world around her, and one day experience more of the childhood she once knew.
